Three Decades of
Honest Work

David Albright started Alarm and Video Security, Inc. in Birmingham in 1994. His goal was simple. He wanted Alabama families and business owners to get real protection without pushy sales or long contracts. Back then, both were common in the industry.

In 1997, Alabama formed its Electronic Security Board. We were among the first companies licensed, with AESBL #488. That license means background-checked techs, proper training, and ongoing compliance with state law. We have kept it active for over 30 years.

We are still family-owned and still based in Birmingham. We do the same work today: one property at a time, licensed techs, and no contracts. Our commercial work reaches across Alabama and the Southeast, even as far as West Virginia. We are targeting the entire state of Alabama.

David Albright incorporates Alarm and Video Security, Inc. The company starts installing alarms and cameras for homes and businesses around Birmingham.

1997

License #488 Granted

Alabama forms the Alabama Electronic Security Board and grants AVSI License #488. It is one of the first licenses under the new state rules for security contractors.

Early 2000s

Commercial Work Grows
